Construction of the Wheel
The wheel's foundation and assembly has progressively changed over time, however the process still remains similar. Around 3000 BCE, the wheel began to mass produce in ancient civilizations. Back then, a solid wooden wheel was made from two to three lengths of plank cut in order to form a disk. These two wheels were then joined by an axle. The most popular form of transportation to Mesopotamian's besides walking was the four wheeled cart. Although some villagers preferred the two-wheeler cart because it was lighter, these carts were often dragged by bison.
